Apply to Become a Music Will Lab School Partner

Music Will is proud to present our Lab School initiative.

This is an opportunity for us to develop closer relationships with schools across the country, offer additional support, and collaborate to try out specific curricular resources, concepts, and more. 
We are piloting this program this year with three schools in specific geographic areas: New York City, Denver/Northern Colorado, and Los Angeles. However, any teacher is welcome to apply. We may be able to offer virtual support or put you on our waitlist for next year! Deadline to apply is December 7, 2025.

Teachers who are accepted into the program will receive:

  • An instrument and/or equipment donation
  • Monthly visits from a staff member (January - June) and connections to mentorship/support as needed
  • A swag box for students

Teachers will be asked to:

  • Dedicate at least 5 lessons to a specific topic/resources co-determined with the Music Will staff (with one or more classes). This may include piloting new curricular materials.
  • Give written feedback on materials
  • Be filmed and photographed (students will need media releases)
  • Get administrator approval 

We are looking for schools interested in specific themes.

Our 3 options this year are:

Songwriting

Are your students ready to take songwriting to the next level? Work with Music Will staff and partners to go deep into songwriting skills and creative expression. Cap it off by getting the resources and help you need to have students submit to Music Will's songwriting exhibition!

Hip Hop

Work with Music Will staff and hip hop roundtable members to implement hip hop lessons in your school! From DJ'ing to Emcee'ing, get resources and mentorship to help your students dive in to hip hop.
